I've found Kontum to be a pleasant stop while touring the Central Highlands. It's less than an hour north of Pleiku. Kontum is the hub of dozens of Bahnar mountain villages. The Wooden (Catholic) Church makes a trip here well worth your time, as is a visit to the orphanage located at the rear of the church.
